King David's Life in 5 Minutes

King David was a shepherd boy chosen by God and anointed by the prophet Samuel to be Israel’s future king. He famously defeated the giant Goliath with a sling and became a national hero, eventually rising to power after King Saul's downfall. As king, David united the tribes of Israel, established Jerusalem as the capital, and brought the Ark of the Covenant there. Despite his deep faith and many accomplishments, he also committed serious sins, including adultery with Bathsheba and arranging her husband's departure.
