The Gospel According to Mark┃EP. 29

Mark chapter 1 introduces the beginning of Jesus' ministry, starting with the prophecy of John the Baptist and his role in preparing the way for the Messiah. John baptizes Jesus in the Jordan River, where the Holy Spirit descends on Him like a dove and God affirms Jesus as His beloved Son. Jesus is then led into the wilderness for forty days, where He is tempted by Satan. Afterward, Jesus begins preaching the good news of the kingdom of God, calling people to repent and believe. He calls His first disciples and performs several miracles, including casting out demons and healing the sick, demonstrating His authority and compassion.

Who is the Angel at Jesus' Tomb?┃EP. 28

Matthew 28 recounts the resurrection of Jesus Christ and His final instructions to His disciples. At dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary visit Jesus' tomb, where an angel announces that Jesus has risen, and they encounter the resurrected Jesus Himself . Meanwhile, the guards report the events to the chief priests, who bribe them to spread the false story that Jesus' disciples stole His body . Later, Jesus meets His disciples in Galilee and commissions them to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey His commands . He assures them of His continual presence, saying, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" .

What Happened When Jesus Died?┃EP. 27

Matthew 27 recounts the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus, beginning with His trial before Pilate and the tragic remorse of Judas. Though declared innocent, Jesus is condemned by the crowd and handed over to be crucified. He is mocked, beaten, and ultimately nailed to a cross, where He dies after crying out to God. At the moment of His death, supernatural signs occur, including an earthquake and the tearing of the temple veil. Jesus is buried in a sealed tomb, and guards are placed to prevent any tampering, setting the stage for what is to come.

Why did Jesus Sweat Blood?┃EP. 26

Matthew 26 begins with Jesus predicting His imminent crucifixion and the religious leaders plotting His death. A woman anoints Jesus with expensive perfume, symbolizing His upcoming burial, while Judas agrees to betray Him for thirty pieces of silver. During the Last Supper, Jesus institutes the Lord’s Supper and foretells that one of the disciples will betray Him. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prays in deep agony, submitting to the Father’s will, before being arrested by a mob led by Judas. The chapter ends with Jesus on trial before the Sanhedrin and Peter denying Him three times, just as Jesus had predicted.
