Stop Tithing! - Do THIS Instead

Mark chapter 12 begins with Jesus telling the Parable of the Tenants, illustrating Israel’s rejection of God’s messengers and His Son. Religious leaders try to trap Him with questions about paying taxes to Caesar, but Jesus responds with the famous line, “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” The Sadducees then challenge Him about the resurrection, and Jesus corrects their misunderstanding of Scripture and God’s power. A teacher of the law asks which commandment is greatest, and Jesus declares the greatest is to love God and love your neighbor. The chapter ends with Jesus warning against the hypocrisy of the scribes and praising a poor widow who gives all she has to God.
